Load Announcments before entering Course

I am still learning the program. So far I have been able to figure a lot out by playing around with the system.

However, I must have changed something now when a new person enters the course it loads the first section, how can I change it to make the announcements load before they start the course. I know it is probably something simple... thank you for your help.

OK I deleted the orginal announcement and created a new one. It seemed to fix the problem. However, this will be a long running open course for our group. I want make sure we don't have the same problem again.... please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

I am not sure what you mean by "it loads the first section". I am also having a hard time understanding what the problem is at all.

Anyway: each course has a menu that determines what items are displayed and in what order. You can always change the order of what you are displaying and/or delete menu items if you don't want them.

When creating a course, there's an option that directly plays the first Learning Object upon entering the course (in this case, without displaying announcements or whatever may come before the course documents). Don't know if this is what you are referring to.

I suggest you to read the manuals and to read some threads on this forum to understand how to use menus and how to configure courses.
