Auto Registration to Org Structure

Hi there,

I have user org structure for example like
Region1
-> Area1
-> Area2
Region2
-> Area1
-> Area2

And i have two additional drop down fields with values
Region -> Region1/Region2
Area -> Area1/Area2

Now i am trying user self registration type: Free Self registration
when i do a self registration with filling additional fields Region1 and Area1.
The user must assign to that node.
Please advise.

If you set two different custom fields for region and area they wouldn't be linked to each other, so a user may select region 1 and an area from region 2...

Have you tryed the option "Ask for a tree code chosen by the user from a list in a dropdown menu"
If you assign a code to each orgchart node (ie. Region 1, area 1, etc), this option will display a dropdown of all the codes and the user will be added to the selected node.

thanks, i have attached the options in Docebo 3.6.0.3
and i couldnt find similar options in Forma 1.2, may be its a different way of doing it.
Please advise.

Hi

in Docebo 4x - Forma Lms, do as Alberto described, i.e. assign a code to each orgchart node (ie. Region 1, area 1, etc)

Then go to Administration>Configuration>user

and in the section Registration code usage flag the option "Ask for a tree code chosen by the user from a list in a dropdown menu"

That way, the registration form will display a dropdown of all the codes and the user will be added to the selected node.

i got a bug when upgrading Forma1.1 to Forma1.2
the path of the file Forma1.2\upgrade\data\upg_data\10200_db.sql line 100 as italian.
when uncomment that specific line,
the upgrade is smooth and works.

yes, line 100 of 'upgrade\data\upg_data\10200_db.sql' it's an Italian translation.
The line cna be commented out or deleted without any problem.

The upgrade procedure is safe consistent: It can be applied many time,If an update is already applied it will be skipped by the upgrade.
